This book is Vol. I of two volumes of Bactrian texts and one volume of plates.

The documents are presented in four groups:

  1. Dated documents, on leather (except document C, written on cloth).
  2. Undated documents, mostly contracts, on leather.
  3. Lists and accounts, on leather.
  4. Wooden slips.

The printing is with facing pages of Greek-letter text and an English translation of it. The glossary gives complete loci, variant spelling, grammatical notes, with etymologies. There is also a complete reverse index.
